Fairfield Farm
Utopia, the place that men have been dreaming of for centuries. A place where no one has any needs, where everyone is loved and cared for. Even the Bible talks about it, from beginning to end: a people set apart by God who would love and care for the earth.
Yahshua (the Hebrew name for Jesus) came and said, "Love one another as I have loved you." People tried but then it faded. Now, 2000 years later, there is still no Utopia - or anything that resembles it - on the earth.
Or is there? On our beautiful little farm, called Fairfield Farm, located in the Fraser Valley outside of Vancouver BC, lives a people who are actually doing what Yahshua talked about. It is not the "utopia" that many would imagine, where everyone is perfect and no one ever does anything wrong. Rather, it is the kind of place where people who love God with all their heart seek to love their friends just like the Son of God did. This is a real process with real people, and we are learning to bear with, forgive, and repent to each other. We work very hard at making a place where our children know they are loved, and where our friends know we love them. We are learning not to be selfish, self-centered people. It is a huge job, but we love it because we are learning all together.
On our farm we have a few animals to provide milk, cheese and yogurt for us all as well as a small garden that gives us good food. We teach our children at home - academics of course - but also teaching them to love and care for each other, and how to speak the things that are in their hearts.
The icing on the cake is our restaurant - The Yellow Deli - that serves delicious food 24 hours a day, five days a week. A barn-wood interior provides a beautiful, warm atmosphere where people can come for good food and conversation; a good place to find someone to talk to. It is a place that we have made just for you!
Can you imagine living in a place where everyday, twice a day, you and those you love gather to sing praises to the Creator, dance together and share whatever is on your heart? That is what we do at Fairfield Farm; we would love to have you be a part of that!
