Awakening

Times were difficult in the 60's: three assassinations, an unpopular war, and great distrust for the establishment, "the system". Out of this societal tumult grew a spiritual movement. Some would say the Jesus Movement was the greatest spiritual revival of the century. Communes sprang up and flourished, mass baptisms in the ocean, people left drugs and got turned on to Jesus.

But the life of togetherness didn't continue for these places: the communes fell apart, the revival ended, and everyone ended up back in their pews. Although there was great zeal and sincerity, it was lacking one important thing in every place, or, almost every place...

One special group continued in the togetherness and zeal they started with. One special place is waxing. That special place is the Communities of the Twelve Tribes.
