So many people like to wander around with no responsibilities, no obstacles. So when the going gets rough they leave and travel in the wind. It blows them to and fro, but they don't find anything to put their roots down into. They don't find anything to put their heart into. They don't find anything worth fighting for.

Well, that was me. I would drift from town to town, hoping each town would be different. I hoped it would be a new start. But I found over and over that every place left me the same – alone – just me, myself, and I. I felt alone and estranged. I could not seem to fit into any kind of scene. People would walk by with their fancy laptops and not even say hi. I may not have a college degree, but I can at least be kind and say, “Hello.” When I was alone, all the guilt came upon me. It came back to haunt me. So I wandered some more. I could run, but I couldn't ever hide from my past. The guilt would follow me.

So many people try to run because the urge to do evil is at the door, just calling. But many people don't know how to deal with it. It makes them wonder if they could ever overcome. “Where can I go to do good and be a good person? What can fill the hole in my heart that only God's purpose can?”

As you wander, you see everything. You see what the animals do. You see creation and how it works. But then, the deep thought you ask yourself, “What about me? Am I doing what I am created to do?” When creation does what it is created to do, it produces a wonderful thing, like the flowers, the bees, the honey...you see it!

But what about you? Where is your place? You could wander forever, or at least until you die. But you'll never know your purpose unless you pray and ask God to show you. Otherwise, you'll never build anything worthwhile with your life.

But I prayed and I found a place where I am learning to love. I learned that God's love is a sacrificial love. All my time and energy now go into laying down my life for my friends. As we do this, we break down the barriers that keep us distant and alone. We are learning that when all is said and done, love is what will remain forever.

The desire of every man's heart is to be dependable, but you can never be dependable if you continue to flee. You are only as tall as your heart will let you be, and you're only as small as the world would make you seem. If you're alone, you're small, but all together, we can stand tall.

There is a Man who lived 2,000 years ago, just like you and me. He loved everyone and believed in you and me. As he healed the sick, he believed in people. He even believed in those who deeply suffered and felt horrible about themselves. He believed in you and me so much that he died for us and took our place in Death. He offered His life to those who desire it. He paid for the weight of guilt in Death what we could not have paid for. He gave us a second chance to be connected to our Creator. His name is Yahshua of Nazareth. He is the Son of God, the Redeemer of Israel.

He wants you to know everything He knows. He is the only One who knows how to overcome all evil. He wants to let you know that you can do it too! He knows the way and He will bring you home to a place where your roots can go down. All it takes is hating your own life in this world that leaves you alone. You can exchange your old life for His new one of caring for others.

So we all invite you to stop going-it-alone and leave behind that empty feeling. But come with us. Come see us. Visit us as we fight together for the same cause - for the sake of love. Loneliness or togetherness, – what would you like? Remember, love is the only thing worth fighting for! Come and see us my friend.
