Many go home at night to empty homes and get online to connect with “friends” out in Cyberspace.  The device becomes a safe hideaway, or even a stage where they get to be the “virtual” iStar they always wanted to be.
Social Media is used to talk about things that people are too ashamed or embarrassed to talk about in real life, or just to say, “Look at me! Aren’t iGreat?” Never before has it been possible to communicate instantly with people anywhere on the globe, yet never before have people been so alienated from one another. So called “Social Networking” merely fosters virtual relationships devoid of accountability, true love, and human warmth. And it’s so easy for parents to put a device into the hands of their children rather than turning their hearts and eyes to fill their children's hungry souls.
