A Felled Tree Sprouting
The story of the life, death, and resurrection of the Messiah, the Son of God, and the church His apostles began at the Day of Pentecost, is the greatest story ever told. It has inspired both hope and wonder for two millennia, giving many the belief in life after death, and leaving some with the lingering question, "Where did the life of the early church go?" What happened to it, and why? The answers are in the New Covenant Scriptures, for any who care to look. The story of Pentecost is much greater than disciples speaking in tongues. Acts 2 and 4 is the record left us by the Holy Spirit of something monumentally important: how the good news affected those who believed. They said then what the church communities who write this paper say today, "All those who believe are together and share all things in common." (Acts 2:44)
