America at one time was viewed as a "Promised Land" by multitudes of people who were longing to escape the oppression and bondage of tyrannical kings and dictators. They were looking for a nation that would give them the opportunity to live as their conscience dictated, and the Constitution of this nation and of each state gave them that freedom.
But now, 200 years after the Constitution was written, we see these freedoms quickly eroding under our feet and thus destroying the foundation on which this country had its beginning.
