At Concerts
In the 80's, one of our members shared his hope with us about the people at the Grateful Dead concerts. Although they weren't "religious," many of them were seekers, looking for love, unity, togetherness, something more than a drab 9-to-5 existence. We built the first Peacemaker Bus and set off on tour.
We'd offer free cookies and tea, a peaceful place to spend some time, free medical care pulling glass out of people's feet when they got hurt.
We made many friends there, and sure enough, some of the seekers found what they were looking for and came home with us to become disciples.
The scene changed, and the band broke up. We've continued looking for the "seekers" at whatever place we could find, whatever musician seemed to touch the deep place in people's hearts. You may have seen us at Phish shows, Bob Dylan, Crosby Stills & Nash, so many others over the years.
