Christian Dissenter "Who Stole the Gospel"
Well, it wasn’t actually the gospel that was stolen. The gospel was lost. But it was the word “gospel” that was stolen and applied to a message that is not the gospel. What passes for the gospel today bears little or no resemblance to the message Jesus preached almost 2,000 years ago.
Could that explain why what passes for the church today also bears no resemblance to the early church described in the Book of Acts? (See Acts
2:42-47; 4:32-37) Be that as it may, you might ask how we can be so bold as to claim that the gospel was stolen. What is the evidence that such a crime was committed? And when did the crime occur? And who is the suspected thief? And how can the goods, or shall we say, the good news, be recovered? What is its true nature, and how can we know when we have found it? These are the questions we will answer in this paper.
We have been working on this case for over 35 years, and we have made some amazing discoveries. Read on!
