We, as a people, are on the most difficult trail in the history of human sojourners on earth - partly just because we are here, alive during the most difficult times, but mostly because of the nature of the trail set before us. We are already well aware of the intense climbs and descents, and the endurance and determination it will take between the trail mile markers. But we chose this trail, and we know where it leads: the restoration of love on the earth. We came to the end of all the other hikes we took, still feeling as if there had to be something more. The trail we are now on just keeps taking us deeper into the place where love rules, and toward the end of sorrow, pain, and injustice.
