You're Mine

A child has been standing alone on the shore
With tears in his eyes, as never before
The boat he created to sail on the sea
Was carried away and was lost tragically

"You are my Vessel, the work of my hand,"
He wrote with his fingers, strokes in the sand
"My highest creation, my special design..."
"I made you, my vessel, you're mine."

Alone in a window, in a neighboring town
The shopkeeper places a boat he has found
Tattered and broken, it captures the eye
Of a young boy proclaiming, "That vessel she's mine!"

"Now wait just a moment," the old man replied
"You'd better start workin', this boat has a price."
So after he'd labored to pay the full cost
Joy filled his heart for he'd found what was lost.

You are my Vessel, the work of my hand
Though you've been broken, redeem you I can
My highest creation, my special design,
I made you, I bought you, you're mine.
"You too are a Vessel, you're God's highest thought
A reason to live may be something you've sought,
The fact that he purchased his own to redeem,
Shows that there is a purpose for us to complete

The Spirit has waited a people to gain
His created purpose... has never changed
To put back together the house of His own
To gather the broken and make them His home

You are my Vessel, the work of my hand
He wrote with his finger, his eternal plan
My highest creation, my special design,
I made you, I bought you, you're mine.

You are my Vessel, the work of my hand
Though you've been broken, redeem you I can
My highest creation, my special design,
I made you, I bought you, you're mine!

The Twelve Tribes is a confederation of twelve self-governing tribes, composed of self-governing communities. We are disciples of the Son of God whose name in Hebrew is Yahshua. We follow the pattern of the early church in Acts 2:44 and 4:32, truly believing everything that is written in the Old and New Covenants of the Bible, and sharing all things in common.
