I am so thankful I was raised by parents who love me and care about me. They never asked me to do what was beyond my capability. When I did what was wrong I knew it was wrong and I wanted to be cleansed from it. I wanted our fellowship to be restored, that there would be nothing in between us. The little pain I received because of my sin went away, and once again I had fellowship with them. This made me happy and gave me true joy. This taught me there were consequences for my actions. If I did what was right they would approve of me. If I did what was wrong it was my choice and I had to pay for it. I was never condemned or harshly treated. My parents care about my soul and my eternal destiny. One day every person will stand before the Creator of the heavens and the earth to give account for his or her deeds, whether good or bad. The choices we make form our character, and our character, our eternal destiny. I'm thankful we are trained to love and practice what is good.
